How to use the public bikes

You can become a MOL Bubi user if you pay the access fee to the public bike-sharing system: buy a 24-hour, 72-hour or weekly ticket or a quarterly, semi-annual or annual pass. Pick up a bike from any docking station with the help of the terminal or the sensor on the rear-side of the bike or by using the MOL Bubi mobile app. Click here for details.

Quick urban transport

MOL Bubi offers an environmentally friendly, quick and convenient alternative in urban transport. Different types of tickets and passes as well as redeemable coupons provide access to the system.

If you have a MOL Bubi ticket or pass, the first 30 minutes of each of your rides are free of charge. If you continue to ride over 30 minutes, you will be charged usage fees that will gradually increase with time.

If you would like to give MOL Bubi a try or you are interested in short-term use only, please purchase one of the ticket types at any touchscreen MOL Bubi terminal or via the mobile app.

If you prefer long-term or regular use, please select one of the pass types.

Information on tickets
What is the MOL Bubi ticket?

The MOL Bubi ticket provides short-time access (24 hours, 72 hours or seven days) to the public bike system. While the ticket is active, the first 30 minutes of each ride are free. If the ride lasts longer than 30 minutes, usage fees will be charged and they will gradually increase with time. When buying a ticket, a deposit of HUF 25,000 per bike will be blocked in your bank account. After the validity period of your ticket is over – so after 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days – settlement is done: the price of the purchased ticket, usage fees over 30 minutes, if applicable (along with the postage fee of the previously requested VAT invoice) will be deducted from the deposit. The amount will be unblocked within the deadline according to the policy of the issuing card company or bank.
Where can I buy tickets?

MOL Bubi tickets can be purchased by bankcard from the touchscreen terminals at docking stations, on the molbubi.bkk.hu website or via the mobile application.
For how long are tickets valid?

The validity period of tickets starts at the time of purchase (day, hour, minute) and expires after 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days (168 hours).
How many bikes can be used with a ticket?

One ticket allows the use of one bike, but a single user can buy four tickets at the same time, in which case the deposit amount of 25,000 HUF will be charged for each bike.
What does the deposit mean?

When buying a ticket, a deposit of 25,000 HUF per bike per ticket will be blocked in the user’s bank account. After the validity period of the ticket has expired – after 24 hours, 72 hours or 168 hours – the price of the purchased ticket, usage fees for rides over 30 minutes and the postage fee of the previously requested VAT invoice will be deducted from the deposit. The remaining amount will be unblocked within the period specified in the policy of the card-issuing card company or bank.
