Marienberg (Mary's Hill) is a 222 feet tall
hill in the center of the German city Brandenburg. Starting in 1830, large parts of the area have been
turned into a municipal park. A rose garden was installed along the stairs leading up to the old Bismarck Tower.
After the demolition of the tower in 1974 park and garden remained in a rather desolate state for decades.
Finally, in 2015, when the town hosted the
Federal Horticulture Show, the rose garden was restored to its old beauty.
