This old railway bridge crosses a creek that flows into Porcupine Lake. It was built in 1931 but passenger rail service has not extended into the City of Timmins for at least 10 years. Since the railroad no longer crosses Highway 101 in Porcupine the bridge has been abandonned to pedestrian and snowmobile travel along Government Road (known locally as Back Road.) The railway can be accessed from Highway 101 or Evans Street near Connaught Hill or from Dome Gold Mine Road, and makes a nice afternoon walk.
