This Unitarian Church congregation was formed in 1890. Most of the founding members had come to Dakota Territory from New England. After officially starting their congregation members started working on a location and money for a building. Rather than a dated corner stone, this building has a date on it's brick chimney.
The posted picture of the church shows the original building, as well as a later addition with "Unitarian Universalist Church of Fargo Moorhead" on the side. This new addition is now the main entrance and contains the elevator that makes the building more usable for all.
