The dam Moulin-Papon is a dam located in France in the town of La Roche-sur-Yon, in the department of Vendée.
Built in 1970 and commissioned in 1971, it supplies a drinking water plant with a capacity of 13,000 m³ / day.
This dam is located on the Yon, in the north of the town of La Roche-sur-Yon. In addition to La Roche-sur-Yon, the reservoir extends upstream on the municipalities of La Ferrière and Dompierre-sur-Yon. Upstream of the dam, the Yon watershed covers 93 km2 and concerns five additional communes: La Chaize-le-Vicomte, La Merlatière, Mouilleron-le-Captif, Le Poiré-sur-Vie and Saint-Martin -of-walnut.
The drinking water plant, located immediately downstream of the dam, is operated by the Compagnie Générale des Eaux. Daily, it pumps 12,000 to 15,000 m3 of water that can produce between 10,000 and 13,000 m3 of drinking water, stored in two water towers with a capacity of 5,000 m3 each.

Ce barrage est situé sur l'Yon, dans le nord de la commune de La Roche-sur-Yon. Outre La Roche-sur-Yon, la retenue s'étend en amont sur les communes de La Ferrière et de Dompierre-sur-Yon. En amont du barrage, le bassin versant de l'Yon s'étend sur 93 km2 et concerne cinq communes supplémentaires : La Chaize-le-Vicomte, La Merlatière, Mouilleron-le-Captif, Le Poiré-sur-Vie et Saint-Martin-des-Noyers.
L'usine d'eau potable, située immédiatement à l'aval du barrage, est exploitée par la Compagnie générale des eaux. Quotidiennement, elle pompe de 12 000 à 15 000 m3 d'eau qui permettent de produire entre 10 000 et 13 000 m3 d'eau potable, stockée dans deux châteaux d'eau d'une capacité de 5 000 m3 chacun.
