Part of the exhibitions at the stadium is the DFB Pokal Walk of Fame. Every year, fans vote for the best player of the cup-season. The winner gets his footprints (or in case of goal keepers his hand prints) cast for eternity.
At the annual ceremony, the player does his hand- or footprints in concrete, the prints are later permanently covered with a thin bronze plating.
For detailed pictures, we picked midfielder Günter Netzer, who scored 120 goals in a 16 year-long career and goal keeper Oliver Kahn, 86 times German national player and Most Valuable Player of the 2002 Soccer World Cup. |
