On the hiking path to the waterfalls in the Barranco de los Cernicalos (Falcon Gorge), after approximately 300 metres, one arrives at a place that was once populated by farmers years ago. What remains are only a few foundation walls and this orphaned well.
A deflection pulley is attached to a concrete arch with the help of which the water from the well, now closed with a metal cover, was pumped out.
