An unfortunate, and distressing incident in 2014 pre-empted the increase of security, and internal layout of the Belconnen Library.

After a 3 year old girl was sexually assualted within the library, extra funding was procured to upgrade the CCTV system that was in place, for better clarity. Also, the enclosed computer terminals were to be made of an open design. Sad, sad, SAD! [the incident was reported in other media, as well.] This report is for the purposeful reaction of the Library to improve security.
