At the entrance of the town of Cáceres del Jerte, next to the bridge that saves the Garganta de los Papúos, is this sculpture that pays tribute to the cherry of the Valle del Jerte, popularly known as picota and Protected Designation of Origin since 2007, at the time of cherry blossom is a tourist attraction for the area and thousands of people are moving these days to contemplate a unique and beautiful show.
The sculpture is made of granite.
