"Neste Sitio teve inicio em 1532 o povoado be Buriquioca, que se chamaria depoit Bertioga. Entre os primeiros moradoes estavam portugueses, seticos e os indios tupiniquins que ja habitavam a regiao e era aliados dos colons na defensa dessas terras."

"In this site the Buriquioca settlement was begun in 1532. It was called Depoit Bertioga, among the first inhabitants were Portuguese, Setians, and the Tupiniquins Indians who inhabited the region and were allies of the colonies in defense of these lands."
