startblog-f.de is a personal blog in German language by Andreas Meyer (picture right), a hobby-long-distance runner from the south of Berlin. In his blog, he documents his runs (most of them done with other friends) through the countryside in and around Berlin and Potsdam. The blog not only provides very good information about running but also tells the history of the places he runs by.
Startblog is a play with the German word Startblock (starting block).
We discovered this blog by accident. We were in the middle of logging waymarks we found on a stroll through Potsdam's parks. One of them was a mysterious urn (coordinates of the waymark). None of the official tourist websites had any information about it. When we googled "Potsdam Park Urn" we got ONE helpful hit: Andreas' blog, were he told people what a friend told him about the strange thing. We could not have logged our Urban Legends Waymark without him and his blog! |
