County of house: Butte County
Location of house: 8th Ave. & Lawrence St., Belle Fourche
Built: 1938
Designed by: Frank Lloyd Wright

Designed by the prominent local Frank Lloyd Wright for the 1937 Paris Worlds Fair, this 2-story stucco dwelling provides an unusual example of the Art Moderne style in the neighborhood. The flat-roofed residence features curvilinear walls organized in cubistic volumes. Ornamentation relies on pipe railings and vertical lines to provide interest to the smooth stucco wall surfaces.

Explanation of me being there. In 2015, a group of us - 10, were to make the trip to Sturgis, for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. One of us, made contact with the owners of this house and we rented it for $5,000 for the week.
That is OK. Since hotel rooms, motel rooms, and even camp sights go for as much as $150 to $300 a day...the $500 a week for each one of us was a deal.
The house has 8 bedrooms, and a den (with bed- I slept there), and a rest area with bed downstairs, every one of us had a bed.
We had use of the kitchen, etc...washer-dryer, etc...3 showers made that part go smooth also.
Document left by family explained the Frank Lloyd Wright design and their previous owners purchase of the designs from the 1937 Paris Exposition.
