This poignant memorial has a couple of bronze plaques, on a black marble, stepped pyramid with a tubular stainless steel cross on top.

The top square bronze plaque has a 'Crown-of-thorns' surrounding an unfamiliar symbol similar to a trident - with a short down-pointing arrow instead of the haft of the trident.

The next bronze plaque has a cast diorama, titled, "Execution by Hunger, Holodomor, 1932-1933". It depicts a heap of corpses, with an Orthdox cross to the front left of the scene, and an Orthodox-looking church in the background, along with devastation and a multitude of crosses, and a few emaciated people visiting the cemetery.

The next plaque down is titled in cyrilic, with the following:

"7,000,000
Dedicated to victims of the 1932-1933
Enforced Famine - Genocide in Ukraine"

The next bronze plaque down is a smaller rectangular plaque (with a texture background), that may be the Cyrilic version of the very bottom. 11 October 1985 can be made out.

The next bronze plaque is rather broad, and has the following transcription:

"In the years 1932-1933 a man-made famine clained the lives of more than 7,000,000 men, women and children in Ukraine. This enforced famine-genocide was perpetrated by the regime of the communist party of the U.S.S.R. as a consequence of the resistance of the Ukranian nation to Russian occupation and subsequent forced collectivisation of agricultural production. The genocidal concept was accompanied by the physical liquidation of the religious and cultural leadership of Ukraine in order to subjugate the Ukranian people. This monument, dedicated to the memory of the victims, was erected in 1983 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this tragedy, from donations by Ukranians Australia wide."

The very bottom plaque is for the unveiling of the monument, as follows:
