This coin is being sent out to raise awarness of motorcycles on the road.
* A motorcycle is a vehicle with all the rights & privileges of any other motor vehicle on the road. Always allow a motorcyclist the full lane width- NEVER try to share a lane.
*Always make a visual check for motorcycles by checking mirrors and blind spots before entering or leaving a lane of traffic & at intersections.
*Always signal your intentions before changing lanes or merging with traffic.
*Remember that road conditions which are minor annoyances to other vehicles pose major hazards to motorcyclists.
*Allow more following distance, 3 or 4 seconds, when following a motorcycle so he has enough time to maneuver or stop in an emergency.
1 out of every 9 U.S. road fatalities accounted for last year involved motorcycle riders, this coin is in memory of each of those killed in an accident on the road.
We can get this message out to more people if YOU help! Just release a coin of your own promoting motorcycle awareness.
