I had this one about 95% solved over the week-end....but....that last 5% can be a real pain. I broke down and got a small nudge in the right direction from the Badd One himself and was able to make the find over lunch today.

Every now and then, the girls and I (and our trusty Australian Cattle dog Max) wind up in an "adventure" like this.....LOL

First, we had no idea how to access this park (we've not been to Ark City before)....if not for the Mapsource data loaded into the GPS, we would have been sunk for sure.

Eventually, we found an appropriate place to park and begin the hike....follow the needle, switch back, follow the needle, switch back again....what's this? We're getting further away? O.K....back to the last interesection to try another route....nope....Grrrrrr.

Finally, we get to about 480 feet of the cache and make the decision to bushwhack our way in. Holy Cow!! We felt like Indiana Jones in there. LOL We eventually made it to the relative safety of the forest and trails and made the find, took a few pictures and found a comfy place to sit and rest for a bit.

After some rest, we decided to "get smart" and follow one of the trails out to avoid the bushwhacking....and went in a BIG circle and wound up back at the cache spot. ROFL

Well, it was time for some reverse bushwhacking. We were laughing all the way back to our car about this one.

Thanks for the great adventure and cool cache!

Wow....what a pretty little bridge. And a cleverly hidden cache too! Max and I found a couple of HUGE gar left to rot on the creek bank nearby....prehistoric looking fish.

We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch nearby, took a few pictures, and then continued on our way. Thanks for the cache...we would have never known this area was there!

What fun this one was! E and I made the find as S and Max decided to stay in the car and soak up more A/C. Their loss....I'm not generally a fan of micro caches (I was absent the day they passed out patience, I guess. LOL) but this one gets a gold star. What a clever hint and hide....

Well done, J&K!
