The goal of this bug is to reach the start of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Anchorage,Alaska by March 2007.

About This Item

Iditarod

This travel bug was released in San Carlos, CA by Mrs. Higginbotham's Kindergarten class and Mrs. Wolfe's 2nd grade class to celebrate the Iditarod. We would love to see it reach the goal and then come back to Arundel School.

Saw the article in the SF Chronicle online. Great idea for a travel bug, and big kudos to Martin Buser for helping it go far beyond its goal of simply seeing the start of the Iditarod, and actually finish the Iditarod!

I just happen to know Martin and not only is the TB going to go to the start of the race, but it's going to Nome with him. Martin Thank you and you are a truely wonderful person and winner in my book. GOOD LUCK and I'll see you when you get back home to Big Lake. Currently in the hands of Martin Buser to go ALL the way to Nome and back. Thank you Martin Buser for ALL your help.
