If I could get near the Denver Zoo and hang out there for a while, I'd appreciate it.
This trackable made possible by: Russell Tidemann
This was mom's neighborhood for over 20 years since about 1992. So many of her friends enjoyed the zoo, including herself. She had a thing for big cats. I appreciated polar bears. But there weren't many large water exhibits like dolphins, whales, and so on.
Origins of "hido," K.D., and the road trip
"Hido" was a greeting my mother, Kathy Bruce started saying in the mid-nineties. It was a consolidation of, "Hi, how are you doing?" into one word. Like Namaste for Enlgish speakers.
Mom's middle initial was "D". Katie was the name of her grandmother (her mom's mom). First initial plus middile initial, phonetically results in the same sound.
The Hido K.D. Road Trip is a tribute to my mother who passed away March 1st, 2019. She loved road trips and traveling. These trackables let her keep doing so for however long they last..

Well it’s been a long time coming, but this is our first outing since quarantine and Christmas. The world has changed a lot since we picked this guy up and thought it fitting that it should accompany us to the first manned launch on the space coast in Florida in 9 years! We drove all the way down for the launch, but it was scrubbed yesterday. With the couple of extra days we decided to cache down here in Titusville, FL!This was the first cache we found and dropped off a few of this guy’s friends still in the inventory. Fun find with a lot of cool stories in it! Here’s to a new start to caching, with the same old smile!

We actually grabbed this trackable out of GC1TPH9. We think it was left there a few days ago on 12/27/2019, so we will continue it onward. We will be headed to Memphis, TN.

Got this little guy out of the Travel Bug ER. Luckily, they took my insurance card. He's in good shape and ready to move about his mission. Check out www.4ocean.com for information on polar bears.
