Amberel TOP CACHE geocoin

In November 2018, I received one of the least expected messages from finder of my geocache
Paleozoic Challenge.
I've never heard about sender before ..
.. author of this geocoin (and photo above, near the cache) - Amberel.
Hi there,
You may have seen on my log for your "Paleozoic Challenge" cache, that it earned you a TOP CACHE geocoin. You may have wondered what this is.
It is just a thank-you for setting a great cache, one that I greatly enjoyed.
Over many years I have awarded nearly 650 of these coins to my favourite caches, and they are listed on http://www.amberel.com/topcache.htm.
They are custom geocoins, trackable on geocaching.com, engraved with the name of the cache and of the c/o.
It is important to understand that they are a thank-you gift, and as such there is no cost or obligation of any sort for the c/o.
They take slightly different forms. The early ones were made from polished aluminium, and each was individually designed and made.
Later ones were of enamelled brass, with those awarded for tree climb caches being made of wood, in the shape of a tree.
The current design is a TOP CACHE PathTag set into a wooden bezel, with the name of the cache and the c/o engraved around the bezel,
and with the tracking code on the back.
I have a backlog for making these geocoins, which is why you have not heard from me earlier, but yours is now near the top of the queue.
But before I make a coin I first try to contact the c/o, because if if I get no response then I would be unable to send the coin and there would be little point in making it.

To date, since 2005, 11640 geocachers found my 100+ geocaches 38001 times, but to my memory,
only one of these people decided to give me a real, physical gift, as appreciation of the cache.
Isn't it wonderfull? A hand-made gift for absolute stranger?

V novembri 2018 som dostal jednu z najčudnejších správ od nálezcu mojej kešky
Paleozoic Challenge.
O odosielateľovi správy som doteraz nič nepočul.
Jeho nick je Amberel a je autorom tohto geocoinu (aj titulnej fotky z miesta kešky).
Správu si môžete prečítať vyššie, v zásade mi ponúka tento ručne vyrábaný geocoin ako poďakovanie za moju kešku.
Vyrobil už takmer 650 takých geocoinov, pre neznámych ownerov, ktorých kešky sa mu páčili.
Teda, moje kešky už našlo 11640 kešerov, spolu 38001-krát, ale toto som ešte nezažil.
Nie je to úžasné? Ručne robený darček pre niekoho, koho vôbec nepoznáte?
