Doel van deze travelbug is aandacht  geven aan het uitsterven van de bij.  Dit doe ik door 11 mei 2019, 15 bijtjes  los te laten Bij Het Tjonger Event In Friesland. Deze bijtjes gaan de boodschap, dat het slecht gaat met de bij, door geven over de hele wereld. Ik hoop hier veel mensen mee te bereiken en dat we gezamenlijk het probleem kunnen oplossen.

The purpose of this travel bug is to give attention to the extinction of the bee. I do this by 11 May 2019, releasing 15 bees at the Tjonger Event in Friesland. These bees pass on the message that the bee is not doing well all over the world. I hope to reach many people with this and that together we can solve the problem.

Het gaat niet goed met de bijen.

Het is in slecht gesteld met de biodiversiteit., wereldwijd is er een afname van insectensoorten. Insecten zijn essentieel voor het goed functioneren van de ecosystemen op aarde. Insecten zijn voedsel voor andere dieren, ze zijn verantwoordelijk voor een belangrijk deel van de bestuiving en ze recyclen voedingsstoffen. Intensieve landbouw, het gebruik van pesticiden, verstedelijking en klimaatverandering zijn hierin de grootste factoren. Steeds meer onderzoeken laten het zien: wilde bijen verdwijnen door heel Europa en in het bijzonder in Fryslân en Noordwest Duitsland uit tuinen en velden. Het aantal is gehalveerd en staat op het punt van uitsterven! Hier maken we ons zorgen over, want we hebben de bij nodig. Zonder bijen geen bestuiving, zonder bestuiving geen voedsel. Stel je voor, dat groente en fruit straks een luxe product is omdat het zo schaars is.

It is not going well with the bees

Biodiversity is in a bad position, worldwide there is a decrease in insect species. Insects are essential for the proper functioning of the Earth's ecosystems. Insects are food for other animals, they are responsible for an important part of the pollination and they recycle nutrients. Intensive agriculture, pesticide use, urbanization and climate change are the biggest factors in this. More and more studies show it: wild bees are disappearing from gardens and fields throughout Europe and in particular in Fryslân and northwest Germany. The number is halved and is about to become extinct ! We are worried about this, because we need the bee. No pollination without bees, no food without pollination. Imagine that fruit and vegetables will soon be a luxury product because it is so scarce.
