As you can see, this is no ordinary camel. He is, in fact, a Fancy Racing Camel competing in the Saint Louis Area Geocachers Association (SLAGA) Travel Bug Race. The race begins 5 May 2018 and ends around 31 January 2019.
The goals are 1) to travel as far as possible, and 2) to be dropped into as many geocaches as possible.
You should find him to be well behaved, not spitting nearly as often as less cultured camels do. So please help him on his way and don’t stable him in one place too long. Thank you very much.
Of course, pictures of his travels are much appreciated.
Clyde is the name of the camel in Ray Stevens’ 1962 hit song “Ahab, the Arab”.
