THIS LOVELY GEOCOIN IS TAKING PART IN A RACE AGAINST AROUND 26 SIMILAR GEOCOINS SET OFF BY OTHER CACHERS TO SEE WHOSE COIN TRAVELS THE FURTHEST IN A SET PERIOD STARTING 24TH MAY AND FINISHING 31ST OCTOBER 2015.

I WOULD LIKE THE COIN TO TRAVEL MANY MILES AND BE DROPPED OFF IN LOTS OF CACHES ALL OVER THE WORLD! VISITS TO CACHES DON'T COUNT IN THE MILEAGE FOR THIS RACE SO PLEASE ONLY LOG IT WHEN YOU ACTUALLY DROP IT INTO A CACHE.

I placed my coin in a Travel Bug Hotel in Exeter, Devon, UK on Sunday 24th May 2015 so hopefully it will start its travels very soon.

On one side of the coin is a map of the Dartmoor area of Devon and the inscription 'CACHING IN THE WILD'  and on the other is a picture of Beardown Man and the inscription 'DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK, BEARDOWN MAN'. The coin was designed by Devon Geocacher Dartmoor Dave, who has set up the race and kindly offered prizes of next year's coins to the 3 cachers whose coins have travelled furthest this year.

I love this coin. I used to go to Dartmoor with my Mum in the 80's letterboxing and have many fond memories. Nice coin. I see the race is over but I will keep it travelling.
