We enthusiastically purchased two Travel Bugs from Jeremy Irish?s inlaws at a geocaching breakfast in Manassas VA prior to their being publicly available and announced on geocaching.com. After posing for photos, Older Brother and Younger Brother were lovingly set out on their respective journeys in Fall 2001. Neither has been sighted since February 2002 although they last were in relatively easy caches. We have since become somewhat disillusioned with the Travel Bug aspect of geocaching. While we no longer make any special effort to seek out caches that contain them, we do still enjoy finding them and moving them along.
Older Brother was released in PA Nov. 10, 2001 and didn?t make 100 miles prior to being picked up by some pretty inactive cachers (profile below) who have not responded to various emails.

Younger Brother was released in VA Sept. 25, 2001 and barely made it 30 miles before ending in a plundered and now archived Cliff?s Shadow Cache. It was placed there by a more experienced cacher (profile below), who apparently was the last legitimate finder and placer.

If either of our Travel Bugs resurfaces we shall remove it from the graveyard. Ditto, if we decide to resurrect them from their respective duplicate tags.
