On the front side of this Wooden Dollar, you can find the "Soccer Team":

'Association football, commonly known as football or soccer, is a sport played between two teams of typically eleven players, though other variations in player numbers such as 5 and 7 are also played, with a spherical ball. At the turn of the 21st century, the game was played by over 250 million players in over 200 countries, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field of grass or green artificial turf, with a goal in the middle of each of the short ends. The object of the game is to score by kicking the ball into the opposing goal.

The game is played at all levels, from unrefereed teams of a few (not necessarily as many as eleven) children without spectators in a field of any size, with pairs of coats as goalposts and not strictly conforming to the rules, to strictly-regulated games between teams of highly-competent professional players before enthusiastic crowds of 100,000 or more in a purpose-built stadium.

In general play, the goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms (unless the ball is carried out of play, where the field players are required to restart by a throw-in of the game ball), while the field players typically use their feet to kick the ball, occasionally using other parts of their legs, their torso, or their head. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the competition. The Laws of the Game were originally codified in England by The Football Association in 1863 and have evolved since then. Association football is governed internationally by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA; French: Fédération Internationale de Football Association), which organises the FIFA World Cup every four years. Auf der Vorderseite dieses Holzdollars befindet sich die "Fußballmannschaft":

'Fußball ist eine Ballsportart, bei der zwei Mannschaften mit dem Ziel gegeneinander antreten, mehr Tore als der Gegner zu erzielen und so das Spiel zu gewinnen. Die Spielzeit ist üblicherweise zweimal 45 Minuten (exklusive Nachspielzeit und eventuell Verlängerung), jedoch gibt es auch Varianten mit kürzerer Spielzeit. Eine Mannschaft besteht in der Regel aus elf Spielern, wovon einer der Torwart ist. Der Ball darf mit dem Fuß und anderen Körperteilen gespielt werden, mit Ausnahme der Hände und Arme. Nur der Torwart darf den Ball innerhalb des eigenen Strafraums auch mit diesen Körperteilen berühren.

Fußball entstand in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts in Großbritannien, breitete sich ab den 1880er und 1890er Jahren in Kontinentaleuropa und anderen Kontinenten aus und gilt mittlerweile als weltweit beliebteste Mannschaftssportart.

Fußball wird von zwei Mannschaften mit je elf Spielern auf einem rechteckigen Spielfeld gespielt. Ziel des Spieles ist es, den Ball öfter in das gegnerische Tor zu befördern, als es der Gegner schafft. Ein Tor zählt nur, wenn der Ball komplett die Torlinie zwischen den Torpfosten und unterhalb der Querlatte überquert. Fußball ist sowohl die Bezeichnung für die Sportart als auch für das Spielgerät, den Fußball selbst.

Die Tore befinden sich in der Mitte der beiden kurzen Seiten des Spielfelds. Bewacht werden sie von einem besonderen Spieler der jeweiligen Mannschaft, dem Torwart, der innerhalb des Strafraums den Ball auch mit den Händen spielen darf. Der Torwart trägt eine spezielle Kleidung und Ausrüstung (Torwarthandschuhe), die ihn optisch von den anderen Spielern unterscheidet. Die anderen zehn Spieler jeder Mannschaft werden Feldspieler genannt und unterteilen sich in Abwehr- und Mittelfeldspieler sowie Stürmer.

Sieger ist die Mannschaft, die die meisten Tore erzielen konnte. Bei Gleichstand endet das Spiel unentschieden. Eine Ausnahme bilden Spiele in sogenannten K.-o.-Runden, dort kann es zum Zwecke der Entscheidungsfindung zur Verlängerung oder zum Elfmeterschießen kommen. (...)'
