Nun soll er den Spuren des Weihnachtsmannes folgen und möglichst viele solcher Orte, die mit Weihnachten in Zusammenhang stehen, besuchen. Lappland, Grönland, Himmelpforten, Himmelsthür um nur einige zu nennen. Manche vermuten ihn ja sogar am Nordpol. Am nächsten kommt da dieser Cache GC1Y72E . Diesen wird er aber wohl nie erreichen. ;)

    Time for some hiking in Norfolk but first a relaxing day of geocaching around Thetford. Lovely town. In Norman times (c 1000 y.a.), it was the sixth biggest town in England. More recently, it was the setting for the TV show, Dad’s Army. 🪖

    CuteOtter had a tournament in Surrey so I got Mr Wombat to drop me off in Effingham. Not good caching - it rained, there were nettles, CuteOtter’s team lost early so I didn’t get enough time, and also geocaching.com broke down so I had to backtrack to the beginning rather than rendezvous with CuteOtter at a cache elsewhere. 😡

    It’s another 1 day on my calendar but the weather forecast was not good. Stayed close to home with a trip Ealing. Looked in at Ealing Studios, a big movie making company in post-WWII times. More recently, it was home to Shaun of the Dead, inside shots of Downtown Abbey, and a Spice Girls music video. 🎥

    Now to Essex to the east of London. Met a friend and we searched for caches in Hadleigh Park, site of the mountain biking competitions in the 2012 Olympics. Lots of nettle fighting for us. 🚲

    Very warm and sunny in London today. I was happily melting at home but then a FTF opportunity presented itself so I rushed out to Chiswick House to get that. 🌞
