This trackable, Andjing NICA, travels throughout the Netherlands so that people won't forget the KNIL Infantry Battalion V.
Het KNIL bataljon Infanterie V werd opgericht eind 1945 in Bandoeng uit ex krijgsgevangenpersoneel door kapitein KNIL J.C. Pasqua. Het bataljon is opgericht, omdat na de Tweede Wereldoorlog de Engelsen niet meer genoeg bescherming konden bieden tegen het geweld in Nederlands-Indië.
Tegenstanders van het bataljon noemde het Andjing NICA. Andjing is Maleis voor onreine hond en NICA staat voor Netherlands-Indies Civil Adminstration. Het bataljon zelf vond het geen scheldnaam, maar een erenaam. Ze gebruikten daardoor een plaatje van een hondekop als embleem.

The KNIL Infantry Battalion V was established late 1945 in Bandung from former pow-staff by KNIL Captain J.C. Pasqua. The battalion was established after the Second World War, because the British could no longer offer enough protection against the violence in the Dutch East Indies.
Opponents of the battalion called it Andjing NICA. Andjing is Malay for unclean dog and NICA stands for Netherlands-Indies Civil Adminstration. The battalion itself did not saw it as an insult, but an honorary title. They therefore used a picture of a dogs head as an emblem.
