To travel the world with my strong moral compass teaching others that they not judge others based on their first impressions.
Ducks (and people, too, for that matter) can say the cruelest things. You should hear the things that I've been called: "devil-duck" and "spawn of seitan" (whatever that could possibly mean!) to name just two. My morality is constantly being called into question. I am routinely accused of leading others, especially drakes and ducklings, down the primrose path to perdition. Now, I can assure you that it isn't true. I don't even know where perdition is, though I do admit a certain fondness for primroses. (Could perdition have anything to do with those terrible Perdue people who are so mean to chickens?) I think it is all because my plumage just happens to be red instead of the usual yellow. Like that's some sort of crime?! Sometimes people point to my beautiful crests and shout something incomprehensible about the Devil's horns, but really! They're not horns; they're neither hard nor sharp. They're just feathers like an owl's tufts. And do people call owls terrible names? No! They call them wise. Granted, they also call them old regardless of their age, but I suppose they have to take the bad along with the good. The point is that, for me, there's no good. Everyone judges me harshly because of a supposed resemblance to some bad guy. But I beg you to look at the facts. Look at my tail, Is it forked? Of course not! Smell my breath. Is it all sulfury and generally nasty? Certainly not. Just the sweet aroma of duck weed salad and the odd scrap of bread crust thrown to me by a child (Why are they always so much more open-minded?). I am not THAT GUY. I am a good girl who just happens to have red feathers. Judge not that ye not be judged!
