2009 Victorian Bushfire Appeal Geocoin

These geocoins commemorate the 2009 Victorian bushfires, and are dedicated to those who perished, and the volunteers who risked their lives to fight the fires. The image on the front shows Sam the Koala drinking water offered by Dave Tree, based on a video image which became an iconic symbol of the disaster - koalas rarely drink water as they obtain most of their moisture from the eucalyptus leaves that form their diet.

I am going to take this geocoin to a country that also suffers from bushfires. They are nowhere near as extensive as the terrible 2009 Victorian bushfires but they still manage to damage large areas of Cyprus every summer.
