About This Item

This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Motorcycle Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road.

    Our very first cache and found it at BET-U-LAbor Over This. We will place it in another cache very soon and keep it going on its journey. Amazing coin to find as a first, as we are a family of motorcycle enthusiasts with many and varied bikes in the garage, who have also lost great friends to accidents along the way.

    Found this coin while doing some caching on our Bikes. Nice to see such coins helping out the awareness of our love for riding. I will post a picture shortly and move the coin along.

    Had to head back out and grab this coin. Logged the coin as being placed into the wrong cache... tried to email the owner to get the tracking number so that I could make the correction, but after waiting a few days for a reply, I just went back out and grabbed the coin. It is now in my possession again. I will place it into a new cache shortly and ensure that it is logged correctly this time :-)
