This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Bike Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road.

This coin is part of a huge mission to raise awareness of bikes (both motorized and human powered) on the roadways.

Some riders believe that wearing of a helmet is not cool, that it makes you look like a dork and that it messes up your hair. I disagree, I believe that wearing a helmet while riding IS cool. I also believe that wearing a helmet while riding makes you look smarter, not like a dork because it shows everyone that you are smart enough to KNOW that wearing a helmet may just save you life. And for all of you out there who think that wearing a helmet while riding will mess up your hair, let me tell you that crashing without wearing a helmet will REALLY mess up you hair.
So keep these little thoughts in mind next time you go out to ride. You can look cool WITH a helmet, wearing a helmet makes you look SMARTER, and without a helmet you can really have a BAD HAIR DAY!
