This coin would like to go to caches in all 50 states to spread the word about the use of an approved helmet for your sport. If you have a bike of any type post your picture of you and your bike and helmet with this coin. This coin is being released in loving memory of Todie Phillips of Manitou Beach, Michigan--Tod of Team Rod and Tod w/KAboom...the Cachestalkers. Tod died in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 12, 2008 when a truck turned in front of him and he tried to avoid it. Sadly Tod was wearing a novelty helmet when he died that wasn't DOT approved.
Helmets can be personalized to reflect the personality of the owner. If you are cool then make your helmet cool!! Decorate it with your favorite stickers and sayings. Then everyone will know for sure that you are one cool dude!!! Remember your head is not as hard as the pavement so wear a helmet even if its not the law where you live. It could just save your life one day.

Todie's Wild Ride coins are being released all over the country and the world to promote Biker Awareness. They are released in loving memory of Todie Phillips of Manitou Beach, Michigan--Tod of Team Rod and Tod w/KAboom...the Cachestalkers. Tod died in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 12, 2008 when a truck turned in front of him and he tried to avoid it. Even though Tod was wearing a novelty helmet that wasn't DOT approved when he died, this accident was preventable if the truck driver had been paying attention.
