The Geopatra's CacheDorado Geocoin is the personal geocoin of Geopatra who has placed more than one hundred geocaches in his "CacheDorado" ('s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands).

His goal is to call attention for the remarkable spots at or near the city 's-Hertogenbosch which are worth a visit. Over the years he placed several geocaches at places of interest, showing buildings and other objects worth seeing. The cache listings usually includes additional information about GZ like history, or mentionable animals and plants. These efforts led to an increased number of geocaches in the area of 's-Hertogenbosch, which he named "CacheDorado".

The geocoin was designed together with KarelKraak. The coin is approx. 2 inch (5 cm) in size and has a thickness of 3 mm resp. 6 mm. The coin is characterized by the PVC mushroom (avatar and logo of Geopatra) on the front side of the coin. A combination of PVC and metal is very uncommon for coins and is thus a very unique feature of the coin. Beside the unique PVC mushroom, a picture of the Sint -Jans-Cathedral and the sequential number of the coin is shown on the front of the coin. The backside shows the map of 's-Hertogenbosch which is framed by the word "Geopatra's CacheDorado: for each and every geocacher! www.geopatra.nl".

In total four finishings of this coin are known:

Polished Gold, red headed mushroom (sequential number on coin: RXX) regular edition
Polished Silver, white headed mushroom (sequential number on coin: WXX) regular edition
Polished Copper, blue headed mushroom (sequential number on coin: BXX) regular edition
Polished Nickel, brown headed mushroom (sequential number on coin: GPX) limited edition

So many beautiful coins, started to log them one by one but this collection is so impressive that I will watch them one by one but log them all at once from here... Met you on my Friday the 13th event (is there a coin for that? ;-), considering there is one for many special dates there will be one for sure somewhere) in Vlissingen the Netherlands... Long after the event was over we were still there together with Marsso talking about many stuff among which the Corona Virus but also our hobby Geocaching and then you offered to share your coin collection with us.. So honoured that you would show it to us, love to watch them all, some of them never seen before and others that look familiar... laatst afgereisd naar het sake 2016 en daar caches gezocht , boomklim cursus en diverse bugs en coins gezien waaronder deze. wat een collectie ongelofelijk was sprakeloos daarom een mailtje naar de eigenaar en nu mag ik ze allen discoveren dank ervoor mooie grote vitrine kast vol .. super..! bedankt

Een paar weekenden geleden ben ik afgereist naar Krommenie om daar het Event Sake2016 te bezoeken. Het was een lange rit helemaal vanuit twente, maar hobby mag geld kosten toch? Het was een goed georganiseerd event, mijn complimenten daarvoor. Ook zag ik een groot vritine kast met wel een heleboel coins. Mijn god, dat hobby geld mag kosten dat kun je wel zien aan deze man die ze allemaal heft. Indrukwekkend gewoon. Ik ben niet zo van de coins sparen, maar gelukkig hebben andere mensen daar andere gedachten over. Ik heb werkelijk geen idee hoeveel het er waren, misschien wel een kleine 500 stuks. Ik ga dan ook deze mensen die al deze coins gespaart hebben dan ook hartelijk bedanken voor het uitstallen van hun collective. Gewoon TE GEK!

Op het SAKE2016 waren diverse TB om gediscovered worden. Maar de mogelijkheid om deze beroemde geocaching Trackables te kunnen discoveren is natuurlijk andere koek. Vol bewondering heb ik ze bekeken. Wat een mooie collection van diverse Trackables bij elkaar. Heel veel dank en de unieke mogelijkheid om je verzamelingen te kunnen dicoveren. Geo-Dragonchild bedankt en natuurlijk ook de Extra TB van je geocaching vrienden.
