My first Travel bug. Will be placing it at next location. Thank you for sharing this great story.

I had an ambitious plan to take this TB to at least half a dozen of the places it wanted to go, since I was headed to points east and also going to a mega event in Duncan, BC. But then it occurred to me that maybe some other people would like to be part of the project, so I ended up hanging on to it till I got home from my travels.

I haven't been able to find any memorial to Ernest "Smokey" Smith in New Westminster, where he was born, although the New West Museum says they're getting information on Victoria Cross winners from the National War Museum. I'm told his Regimental Museum may have information if anyone's looking...

The photo is of the TB at the New Westminster cenotaph.

Took the Remembrance TB to visit "Quiet Neighbourhood" in Burnaby, BC. in honour of Charles Merritt, who was born in Vancouver and is buried here in Ocean View Cemetery. The photo is of the TB on his grave marker...
