Current Goal

Mission is simple...this coin wishes to PROMOTE SAFE RIDING of motorcycles. PLEASE, watch for motorcycles while driving, we are out there and MUCH more vulnerable than any other vehicles! Please remember that we are on the roads for much the same reason as most anyone else, we are just trying to get to our destinations...please help us to arrive safely by looking for us before pulling out, and before changing lanes!

This coin wishes to travel, it needs to travel! This coin is in memory of Tod Phillips who was taken from us in a motorcycle accident on Aug 12, 2008. Tod will be sorely missed! Please post any pics of the area this traveler visits as Tod would have liked that! PLEASE keep this coin moving to promote bike awareness!

About This Item

In loving memory of Tod Phillips!

Tod, 1/3 of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident when a motorist pulled into his lane unexpectedly. Tod (as we have surmised) likely locked his brakes and skidded sideways until he perceived he was safe to disengage the brake and resume. Unfortunately, when in a skid, bikes usually tend to skip if the brake is released (as I learned at the funeral services). Tod likely released the brake (just a speculation we came up with), the bike jumped and then grabbed before flipping several times...Tod rode it to the end!

This accident was needless, the driver merely needed look and would have seen Tod there. This usally happens because of people being in a hurry. PLEASE take your time and help us arrive safely!

PLEASE keep this coin moving to help spread the word of bike awareness!!

Spent the day with my bud Shere Kahn. Went to the Mustard Museum and saw some trolls in Mount Horeb Wi. Then went to the Mississippi River Museum and on a river boat ride in Dubuque Iowa.

Picked up in a cache today, but it was not listed there. Still in Illinois, so I will drop it in the cache where I found it, so it has a little better history. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us!

    • I have heard of a Bookmobile before, but.. not a Schoolmobile before! I assume that this is some sort of historical preservation work.
