Good morning Leon and students.
Please find attached a picture of Buffy visiting the Australian Parliament House – I have a few more photos and will send them separately. This building is quite unusual as it has grass for most of its roof – and yes, people can walk & picnic on the grass roof.
Buffy quickly made friends with other critters that live with us; and they were happy to take Buffy to the Australia’s Parliament House here in Canberra – the nation’s capital city. We are in mid-summer, with daily temperatures frequently hitting 40+ degrees Centigrade (that is, 103 to 109 Fahrenheit). Buffy’s new Australian friends (Ozi friends) are … next to him “Ducky” and “Ra” (lion); in front, from left to right are Aztec & Lacey. Aztec & Lacey are Golden Retrievers, fully obedience trained and now learning Doggie Freestyle – a new canine sport where the owner and dog perform routines (with tricks like spins, leg weaves & jumps) carefully choreographed to music. For some performance we dress up. You can find out more about this sport by using internet searches for “dog dancing” or “musical dog sports”.
If you have any questions about Australia, I would be happy to respond to them. Buffy’s next adventure will be in Canada, visiting Lindsay & Ted Slavin.
Regards,
Tony.
