This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Bike Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road. (Used with permission from LionsLair)

DO NOT KEEP THIS COIN! This coin is part of a huge mission to raise awareness of bikes (both motorized and human powered) on the roadways. Specifically this coin is to get people to remember to not drive while distracted. There are many types of distrations that todays drivers face every day on the open road. Some of these distractions can be eliminated if we all just think before we drive. Some of the distractions that can be eliminated include:
- Cell Phones
- Loud Music
- Disciplining children
- Arguing with passengers
- Reading a map while driving
- Reading newspapers/magazines
- Eating or drinking ANYTHING while driving
- Putting on makeup, shaving, combing or brushing hair
- Using high-tech devices like handheld organizers or laptops
and the list goes on and on. All we are trying to do is to make driving on the open road a safe experience for all
