This coin has a viking ship and the inscription "GEOCACHING IN DENMARK - GLOBAL TREASURE HUNTING SINCE THE VIKING AGE". It was the winning design after long discussions on the www.geocaching.dk forums and is the first geocoin to be designed and made by the Danish geocaching community, in 2006. The slogan "Global Treasure Hunting Since The Viking Age" is quite ingenious, in my opinion. A very clean and simple design, the only color being in the Danish flag in the sail of the viking ship. The back is the Danish geocaching logo - note the small map of Denmark in the upper right quarter. The logo IS available in color - maybe it will be featured in color on our upcoming 2007 coin? Time will tell!
I have been heavily involved in the production and sale of this coin to Danish geocachers. It is officially sold out, but you may still be able to buy or trade it from Danish geocachers. 500 coins were made in the "antique silver" finish only. This is (so far) the only coin designed and made in Denmark, and it proudly carries the "DK" tracking code prefix.

What a great day 😁 During a nice geocaching day together with gjensen and I were able to find some very well made geocaches 👍 After some tree climbing and wading through drains we went together to gjensen where I was invited for tea and salty popcorn 🙂 Above all I got the opportunity to discover his awesome geocoin collection 😮 What can I say ❔ I am deeply impressed by his collection and I took me a long time to take a close look to each of his geocoins. Just massive 😎
