This bug is in competition with 6 other members of my family. The one that travels furthest between 25 December and the following 25 December wins a bottle of champagne. In 2007 the competition was won by me (heaven can wait) with 21733 miles. 2008 saw me win again with 11012. 2009 has been won again by me with 10734. Competition on now for 2010. Help me to become a 4 time champion.
2 days before I was due to open this present from my son in December 2006 I was rushed to hospital with an aortic aneurism. My family was told that I had very little chance of surviving the operation as I was 88. 4 days later I was sitting up asking my son to get this bug on its way so that I can win the champagne next Christmas. Yes, heaven can wait!
The photograph on the tag is from the 1940s where I was a glider pilot. Of the 200 of us that went into Arnhem only 20 returned - yes, heaven can wait.
You will see that I have won the last 3 competitions and I am still going strong at nearly 92.
