Geocache Description:

Pohled na Zbraslav / View to Zbraslav

[Cz]
Vetsina z nich se vsak nikdy nevratila a ti, kdo prezili, nebyli schopni podat verohodne svedectvi a nasledne bidne skoncili v blazinci.

Diky.

[En]
The fort of Sance used to be a part of the Celtic oppidum of Zavist. However, it was probably populated before affiliation to Zavist fort located on a hill on the opposite side of the stream.
The oppidum was protected not only by steep slopes but also by a system of massive bulwarks and moats that are visible in both parts of the oppidum.
It is known that here and there treasure troves loom in the places of Celtic settlements and they are always watchfully guarded by a supernatural creature. And so it is in Sance.
At moonless nights, a glimmering gleam can be seen in dark forests. Numerous honourable Zbraslav citizens failed to resist the temptation and entered the forests. But most of them never returned and a few survivors were not able to give any credible testimony and finally they ended their wretched lives in a nuthouse. From their babbling coud be deduced that anyone who got near the trove met an ominous ghost of an ancient Celtic king. The king was whispering words in a primeval language, perhaps Celtic, and was reluctant to hand the trasure over - pretty obviously. Lately it has been discovered that what was considered a Celtic spell and sounded like „gee-pee-es, gee-pee-es“ was as a matter of fact an instruction to get the treasure trove. Scientists take it that the ghost will have no power over a prospector holding a GPS receiver. However, it is so far only a hypothesis to be proved.

The cache is situated in the nature reserve alongside the footpath above a rocky slope at the south-western border of Sance, at one of wonderful points of view of Zbraslav.
The access is either by a comfortable diversion from the Celtic Path (Tocna - Zavist) or from the road in Zavist.
The place may be quite muggled. Please hide the cache carefully and check you weren't seen.
