Cache je umístena ve verejne prístupné cásti areálu sportovního letište Hosín a to v míste, kde stál letecký všesmerový radiomaják NDB. Poprvé byl uveden do provozu v roce 1982 a zrušen v roce 1990. Maják vysílal morse písmena „MA“ na frekvenci 421 kHz. Sloužil prevážne k výcvikovým, radionavigacním letum sportovních letadel, která byla vybavena radiokompasem (ADF). V dnešní dobe (kdy je v provozu GPS) se již majáky tohoto typu pro tratovou navigaci bežne nevyužívají, presto se s nimi mužeme setkat na vetších letištích jako soucást približovacích systému.

A cache is located in a public part of sports airfield Hosin (LKHS). On this place stood an aeronautical non-directional beacon (NDB). It had switched on in 1982 for the first time and terminated in 1990. The beacon was transmitting letters “MA” of the Morse code on frequency 421 kHz. It used to radio-navigation training flights of sports aircrafts, which were equipped by ADF (automatic direction-finding). Since Global Positioning System (GPS) is in operation, these original NDBs are no longer used for airways navigation hardly. However, we can meet these at bigger airports as an approach systems components.
