Geocache Description:

Marsh Hop

This cache is located on a NYSDEC wetlands preserve. Please obtain the required DEC permit before hiking in this area. Here is the page for the necessary permit application - http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/reg1/accessperm.pdf

Cache is a large lock&lock with the usual swag and a nice big log. There is a "trailhead" near the corner of Bluepoint Road and Thorn Lane. This is very marshy and probably very wet and buggy most of the year, but it should make a good winter cache. When we hid this, our sneakers stayed dry with a few well-timed hops! Please disturb these wetlands as little as possible and hide the cache better than you found it.
