Foi aqui que os Cavaleiros da Ordem Militar de Santiago, comandados pelo seu
Grão-mestre D. Paio Peres Correia, se juntaram a D. Afonso III para a conquista
do resto do al-Gharb al-Ândaluz, mais tarde Reino do Algarve.
O waypoint está próximo de duas construções. A primeira é de origem Moura,
mais precisamente Berbere. A segunda, Cristã. É desta dualidade que se fez o
Algarve e o sul de Portugal.
O primeiro corresponde às ruínas de um Castelo do período Almóada (séc. XII)
que fazia a defesa desta povoação de incursões Cristãs. O segundo, à Ermida do
Pé da Cruz.
Destes dois pontos devem ser retiradas duas informações, que permitem calcular
a posição do local onde a cache se encontra escondida.

The waypoint is nearby two constructions. The first one is Moorish, more precisely
Berber. The second one is Christian. The Algarve and most of the south of Portugal
ware made by this duality.
The first one is the Castle (ruins) from the Almohad Dynasty (12th century), that
defended this town from the Christians incursions. The second one is the “Ermida
do Pé da Cruz” (small church).
From thins points, you should take some information and calculate the cache’s
position.

consta desta imagem;
- At the Castle ruins, count the (A) holes in the face of the tower (image example);
- Na fachada da Ermida, contar o (B) número de vezes que surge a cruz.
- In the small church facade, count the (B) number of times you see the cross (Cruz).
Não deixem de visitar o Núcleo Museológico perto das primeiras coordenadas e dar
uma volta a pé pelas ruelas da Vila.
