There is a good/safe place to pull off the road just south of the coordinates. Muggles should not be a problem.
This cache is located about 1 1/2 miles from the town of Big Lake which tooks it's name from the lake created by rain which gathers in a natural land depression near this cache. Once filled by spring-fed water, it is now the largest dry lake in Texas. In pioneer days it was the only fresh water between the Concho river and springs at Ft. Stockton and was a campsite for Indians, Mexican traders and cattle drivers. When there is enough rain in the area this lake still fills with water andwhen it does, there are live fish in it.
Cache is a small plastic jar covered in camo tape. Original contents include: Horse shoe magnet, sparkley nail polish, make your own magnet kit, off wipe and Midland Centennial Coin.
This is the first cache we have hidden and we hope you enjoy it.
