Geocache Description:

Winter friendly two stage cache. Stage one is virtual. Stage two is a micro. You will need to bring your own pen or pencil.

Bring the kids there is a great playground within view of both stage

CAUTION several searchers have noted that they have found wasp nests near the cache. Please use caution during the warmer months.

Located on Harriet Island Regional Park. This cache can be found any time of year. WInter is likely the best season as this area can be VERY crowded in the warmer months. With some discretion you should be able to find this one almost anytime without attracting unwanted attention.

At the listed coordinates you will find a plaque honoring Justus Ohage St Paul Commissioner of Health during the early 1900s. Ohage was concerned about public hygiene and mortgaged his own home to purchase an island on the Mississippi River where he had public baths erected. He donated the island and the baths to the city suggesting that it be named Harriet Island in honor of St. Paul's first educator, Harriet Bishop.
