This area is in the heart of the biggest national park in Macedonia- Mavrovo.
The road to the village of Galicnik starts from Mavrovo at N 41`40,061' E 020`43,879'. Take your time and try not to miss the magnificent views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Altitude at the cache is 1715m so during winter you can not access this site by car. Do not miss the oportunity to visit Galicnik since it is just a few km's further the road. During summertime the hotel Neda is open and also a couple of shops. There and you can have a coffee and even better-a cup of 'planinski caj'- very aromatic tea from a herb that is growing here.
