A nice short walk to a cache. There is free parking near the cache in the lay by on Devils Bridge.
Devils Bridge is an atmospheric place close to Princetown. It is easy to see why this area is associated with the Devil when the mist is down, the scenery takes on a strange eeriness.
At one time it was merely a culvert which ran under the Princetown road. This was not built by the Devil but by a workman whose nickname for some strange reason was the 'Devil' hence the name 'Devil's Bridge'.
We placed this cache at Devil's Bridge to coincide with Halloween 2006. It is filled with Halloween related items for swaps.
Please ensure the cache is well hidden after your visit as this area is popular with Dartmoor letterboxers and letterboxes often go missing from the area.
