Sul Monte Barigazzo (1270m circa, in appennino parmense),coperto da una rada faggeta, lungo una cresta panoramica.
Long a fine panoramic rigde of the Barigazzo, a peak of the Appennini, covered with a sparse beech forest.
La strada che sale al Monte Barigazzo è chiusa al traffico in un punto dove è molto agevole parcheggiare; si prosegue a piedi proseguendo per la strada e poi per prato fino alla vetta. Da questo punto si gode di una buona vista panoramica sulle valli circostanti e sulle cime dell'appennino fino alle Apuane. Il versante di salita è poco ripido ed erboso, con un magnifico bosco di faggi (alcuni dei quali sono molto sviluppati). L'altro versante è ripido e privo di vegetazione, e mostra ben evidenti le testate erose degli strati rocciosi.
La cache si trova alcune decine di metri sotto la vetta, lungo la cresta delimitata da una recinzione in filo spinato. Si tratta di un barattolo in plastica trasparente, con il coperchio a vite giallo, contenente il logbook, una matita blu/rossa e altri piccoli oggetti.
Scendendo dal punto della cache al parcheggio, attraverso il bosco, si passa per una zona dove, d'estate, vengono organizzate feste e si può campeggiare.Nelle vicinanze esiste anche un Santuario.
The road going to The Barigazzo is closed to the vehicular traffic in a site where is easy to leave the car; go on over the gateway, walking on the road and then on the grass just to the summit. From there can enjoy a good panoramic view on the sourrounding valleys and on the Appennino's peaks, just to the Apuane. The up slope is gently and grassy, partially covered with a wonderful beech wood (some of them are very great). The slope on the other side is steep, without vegetation, and show very well the front of the rocky beds.
The cache is some dozen of meters below the mount summit, along the ridge delimited by a fence barbed wire. It is a trasparent plastic can, with a yellow cap, housing the logbook a blue/red lead pencil and other small objects.
Getting down from the point of the cache to the car park, through the wood, one passes through a zone where, of summer, parties are organized and it is possible to camp. In the vicinity also a sanctuary exists.
