If you are like us, you soon get bored on long motorway
journeys, so we thought it might be fun to have a mini-IQ test to
help you pass the time.
Question 1
Question 2
A ball is dropped to the ground from a height of 10ft. It then
bounces up to half it's original height then falls back. It then
repeats this always bouncing up to half the previous height. The
ball travels a total of BC feet.
Question 3
Question 4
Question 5
A car travels 80 miles in the time that another car travelling
10mph faster travels 100 miles. The faster car is travelling at
FGmph, but what is FG?
Scoring Yourself
Ok, we know it's a bit simplistic and that a real IQ test would
have a lot more questions, but this is just for fun on a long
journey so we could not be that evil and ask you too many questions
(or could we?)!
Answering honestly, and not counting the ones you had to
have help on, score yourself according to the number of
questions you got correct out of 5. If you are brave enough, we'd
love to hear your score in your log. If you're too shy, then no
problem either - it's only for fun.
The Cache Itself
Find the solutions for A-G above. The cache can then be found at
N52 5(A+1).(F-B)DB W002 1B.(F-G)(F-C)(E+1).
You are looking for a camo'd M&M container that we brought
back from our summer trip to the USA. It's about 3 inches long and
just less than an inch in diameter. There is room for small swaps,
but's it's probably slightly too narrow for TB tags - we've left a
few swaps to get things started, including a lovely nano container
we'd really like someone to make into a cache for us to find.
The cache should be suit friendly and do-able from the pavement
/ roadside.
The cache is not in anyone's garden and is
well away from the nearby house but we'd ask anyone who attempts
the cache to make sure the coast is clear and to be very stealthy
in their searching as the last thing we want is to annoy the local
residents as it's not fair on them.
