This passroad is closed on Saturdays and Sundays but not the road
to the cache coming from Glarus!
Dieser Pass ist Samstags und Sonntags gesperrt, aber nicht die
Strasse von Glarus bis zum Cache!
Der Pragelpass verbindet Glarus via Klöntal(-ersee)
und Richisau mit Stalden im Kanton Schwyz. Die gesamte Strecke des
1550müM. hohen Passes ist seeehr schmal und voller uneinsehbarer
Kurven. Auch die Steigung ist an gewissen Stellen nichts für
schwache Nerven.
Während auf Glarner Seite die Landschaft durch das Klöntal mit
seinem wunderschönen See bestimmt wird, durchfährst du auf Schwyzer
Seite den wohl ältesten Wald der Schweiz, welcher in Sachen
Bewirtschaftung, sowie als Biotop für Pflanzen und Tiere, getrost
als DER Urwald der Schweiz genannt werden darf.
Wenn du bei schönem Wetter unterwegs bist, wirst du mit
Bestimmtheit eine grandiose Landschaft entdecken.
Pragelpass connects Glarus via Klöntal and ist Lake with Stalden
in Canton Schwyz. This road on its complete length is very narrow,
partially pretty steep and full of bends you can't see what's
coming for next! It's nothing for people with weak nerves ;-)
The landscape in the Glarus part is dominated by the Klöntalersee
whereas the Canton Schwyz part is crossing the probably oldest
forest of Switzerland. It's a paradise for plants and
animals.
I garantee you'll enjoy the great views of this beautiful
landscape while driving this road on a sunny day!
