Geocache Description:

You are looking for a Tupperware container in a wooded area of Monmouth Park. Permission was given by Mark Gladfelter, chairman of the Monmouth Park Board. The manager of Gibson Woods Golf Course requests that you not pick up any of their golf balls. There shouldn't be any in this particular part of the park however.

The theme of Monmouth's sesquicentennial in 1981 was "Born of the Prairie." Most of the starting contents are things representative of "The Maple City." Our native son is Wyatt Earp. Ronald Reagan lived here during his youth.Abraham Lincoln made speeches here and had his portrait done. A very nice Lincoln collection can be seen at the Warren County Library. Farmland Foods is the city's largest employer. Maybe you have some of the famous Western Stoneware Pottery. The Prime Beef Festival is held in September at this park. Monmouth has been called The Prime Beef Center of the World. The FTF will get an FTF button and a $10 gift certificate to the Monmouth Soda Works. Enjoy your visit!!

CONGRATS TO WILBURDINK ON BEING FTF.
