Geocache Description:

The co-ordinates given are not for the cache, but for the car park at Oaks Park, Carshalton, where there is a café and toilets. The car park closes at dusk.

The Oaks, the house originally on this site, was once owned by The Earl of Derby and the classic horse race, ‘The Oaks’ run at Epsom, is named after the house. Part of the gardens of the old house are incorporated into the park.

During the storm in October 1987 approximately 15,000 trees were demolished in this park and you will still see the evidence all around you. If you are lucky you may see the flock of approximately 50 resident parakeets.

The Sutton Countryside Walk and The London Loop both pass through the park.

The cache is a small, locked top, plastic container.

To find the cache co-ordinates you must solve the following puzzle. You may assume that N51 and W000 are correct.
